Around Ganesh Himal & Ruby Valley Trekking, begins after an exciting drive from Kathmandu through many farm areas and towns. Reaching the start of the trek at Arughat town, located on the Manaslu Circuit route, and towards our destination.

The adventure follows away from the Manaslu trail across the Budi-Gandaki River that separates the Gorkha and Dhading districts.

The walk leads through farm villages, as the climb heads towards a higher green hill, on leaving the human settlement.

As the walk progress enter a wide scenic Ruby valley, and then up towards the highest point of the trek. On top of Pansang Bhanjyang at 3,500 m high ridge rewards spectacular panorama of a snow mountain range. Views include Ganesh, Manaslu to Annapurna Himalaya in the far west with Langtang and Jugal Himal towards the east.

An enjoyable and exciting moment in complete tranquil surroundings of dense green alpine forest with stunning views. From Pansang Bhanjyang slowly the walk leads closer to Ganesh and Langtang Himal area within the Rasuwa district.

Then adventure finally ends, reaching lower warm farm areas within the district of Nuwakott at a busy nice town Trisuli Bazaar. From here an interesting drive brings you to Kathmandu, after a wonderful experience Around Ganesh Himal & Ruby Valley Trekking.

    Best Seasons:

     

    Around Ganesh Himal & Ruby Valley Trekking, the best seasons are in spring and autumn/fall, where days are crystal clear for views and pleasant walks.

    The springtime’s begins from March till May, the high seasons for trekking around Nepal Himalayas and to Langtang Valley.

    Most days are clear fine and bright with sunshine, which can get overcast in the late afternoon. Chances of snowfall sometimes on higher terrain, cold in the morning late afternoon, and nighttime. The hills are lively with wildflowers in seasonal bloom, especially the rhododendron of various species from trees to short bush.

    The next best time is in autumn/fall, one of the peak seasons. For trekking around the Himalayas and around Ganesh Himal and Ruby Valley. Most days are crystal clear for views and scenic walks. However, the days are shorter due to fewer sun-light hours, much colder morning and late afternoon till night time.

    Chances of snowfall sometimes during the walk around higher areas above 2,000 m high, but with a clear starry night sky.

     

    Religion, Culture of Langtang Himal region:

     

    Tamang are the main inhabitants around Ganesh Himal as far towards Langtang Himalaya range. Around Ganesh Himal and Ruby Valley trek, mostly populated by the indigenous Tamang tribes, follows Tibetan Buddhism known as Mahayana or Greater Wheel. Established by great Guru Rinpoche Padamasamba in the 7th Century, reforming Buddhism which was near to extinct.

    The culture, tradition, and heritage are similar to its Tibetan predecessors, the Tamang are farmers and raise livestock. As well famous craftsman and artist painting Thangka the religious arts of Buddhism religions.

    Interesting Tamang villages on this trek are Manbu, Tiri-Gaon and Trisuli Bazaar, other places are temporary settlements from Manbu to Deurali.


Detail Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

On arrival in Kathmandu at Nepal international airport, received by our staff and guide for short drive to your hotel. Located amidst the main city, check into your rooms and join in for trek briefing with other members of the trip. Our guide provides information about the trekking trails, local lodge, camping, and culture and so on. Evening group dinner an introduction to Nepalese meals and traditions
Day 2:

At Kathmandu for trek preparation and sightseeing tour.

Enjoy the free day for trek preparation and join for an interesting sightseeing tour around historical, cultural and religious places. Kathmandu is steeped with World Heritage Sites, our city / cultural guide will takes you around the great places of historical wonders of great interest. Afternoon free for individual activities and trek preparation.
Day 3:

Drive to Arughat town 880 m - 05 hrs.

Early breakfast and depart for Langtang Valley Trekking, a drive of 5-6 hours exciting overland journey through Nepal countryside. Drive on main busy interesting highway then drive diverts to Dhanding town and down to Arughat. Located on a low warm farm around district of Gorkha, a large town close to Buri-Gandaki River. On arrival at Arughat town transfer into a nice simple lodge, with time to explore the area and get glimpse of local life.
Day 4:

Trek to Manbu 1,320 m - 06 hrs.

Morning after a pleasant overnight at Arughat town, first day walk leads across a bridge above Buri-Gandaki River. As walk head towards a nice farm village at Arkhet, from here onward back into Dhading area. Walk follows to short uphill climb, to Manbu village for overnight stop, from here on in tented camp, overlooking grand views of Himal Chuli and Boudha Himal
Day 5:

Trek to Lamo Dhunga 2,230 m - 06 hrs.

From Manbu walk to Dhunchet village, morning leads to climb through farm villages and forested areas to Dhunchet. Stopping here for possible lunch, afternoon continues to uphill, and then on winding path reaching Lama Dhunga for overnight camping.
Day 6:

Trek to Nauban Kharka 2,755 m - 06 hrs

After Lama Dhunga, walk into dense forested path crossing streams with gradual climb to Nauban Kharka for overnight camp. After a long scenic and interesting walk, the word Kharka means cattle herder temporary shelters. From the camp enjoy view of Himal Chuli, Boudha Himal and Manaslu range
Day 7:

Trek to Yarsa 2,580 m - 05 hrs.

Morning starts with short climb to cross a small pass over a ridge of Nauban Bhanjyang at 3,110 m high. Facing magnificent views of snow peaks, and then downhill to Khading, overlooking peaks of Ganesh Himal. From here another hour downhill to Yarsa for overnight camp.
Day 8:

Trek to Timila 1,760 m before Tiri-Gaon village - 06 hrs

Enjoy the morning super views of high snow peaks, start the walk with steep uphill to Kupchet. On reaching the top, a long downhill to Lapche and crossing a stream to Kapor Gaon. From here on nice gradual trail to Timila for overnight camp, which is on a small primary school premises close to Tiri-Gaon village
Day 9:

Trek to Chalisa 1925 m - 05 hrs.

From Timila walks starts heading past Tirigaon, and then a few hours trek on winding gradual path to Tatopani means ‘hot spring’, stopping here with time for refreshing hot bathe and dip in a warm spring. After a pleasant stop, walk continues for an hour to Dudari Khola and then climb to a high ridge up reaching Chalisa for overnight camp. Located above a farm village facing grand views of rolling hills and snow-capped mountains.
Day 10:

Trek to Marmalung Kharka 3,195 m - 06 hrs.

Morning with time for tour of an old monastery interior, enriched with ancient relics and statues of Lord Buddha. After an interesting visit of the monastery downhill to Tipling River then enter a gorge, crossing a bridge climb leads to steep ridge reaching Tipling. As climb continues for another few hours to overnight camp at Marmalung Kharka.
Day 11:

Trek to Pansang Bhanjyang 3,850 meters - 04 hrs.

After a wonderful overnight stop at Marmalung Kharka, today a short walk to the highest point of the adventure at 3,850 m high. On top Pansang Bhanjyang, a small pass, as walk start with climb to Pansang Bhanjyang. Offers magnificent close views of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu range, as far as Annapurna Himalayas with Langtang and Jugal towards east. At Pansang-La stopping here for lunch, as well for overnight camp along with views of mountain range. Afternoon free to explore the unexplored often ventured by few trekkers.
Day 12:

Trek to Rupchet 3,055 m - 06 hrs.

From Pansang Bhanjyang crossing the high ridge, then down with few short climb and ups with few switch backs. From one side of a ridge to another hill top facing beautiful scenery with snow mountain range. After a dramatic descent after a climb to high Tiru Danda, head towards a rocky gullies to Rupchet for overnight camp amidst forest surroundings.
Day 13:

Trek to Saline 2,480 m - 05 hrs

Morning walk heading downhill to lower altitude reaching around lush green forested areas, downhill continues reaching Salankhu Khola / stream. As walk follows on a nice path towards farm villages of great agricultural endeavor. Walk continues through farm lands and small villages, then finally reaching Saline village for overnight camp, on an open terrace near the village.
Day 14:

Trek to Deurali 1,500 m - 05 hrs.

Slowly our adventure reaches to a near end for last overnight stop at Deurali Village. Morning walk leads through terraced fields, and then climb to cross a steep small pass, and then enter a forest to Boldu-Gaon village. From here on leaving the farm village continue walk on winding path and downhill towards cultivated farm fields to Deurali village for last overnight camp of the adventure
Day 15:

Trek to Trisuli Bazaar and drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs

After a wonderful time Around Ganesh Himal and Ruby Valley trekking, having last camping breakfast. Morning walk to low warm areas of Trisuli Bazaar, following a long descent through farm fields and terraces. As vegetation changes from alpine to sub-tropical plants with warmer climate. Coming across farm growing bananas and oranges with big Banyan trees. After a pleasant walk reaching a thriving town at Trisuli Bazaar, the end of our walk and stopping for lunch. Afternoon a few hour drive back to Kathmandu and then transfer to the hotels. Rest of the afternoon free to relax for individual activities
Day 16:

At Kathmandu free day at leisure.

In Kathmandu a free day to enjoy individual activities, as well for shopping souvenirs of Nepal. Interested people can join in for another exciting sightseeing tour of Patan and Bhaktapur worth a visit.
Day 17:

Depart for international departure.

Transfer to Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, as per your international flight time, our guide and staff transfer you to the airport. The bidding farewell to staff and guide, enter the airport terminal for homeward bound, after a great wonderful adventure Around Ganesh Himal & Ruby Valley Trekking
